I bumped into this Toyota Sprinter Trueno Black Limited BP Kraft lookalike while I was doing research on the Black Limited for the rediculously long car names where it took third place. I guess lovers going to love, haters going to hate…
The most obvious change are the Lambo-style doors and the change of the pop-up headlights for the integrated ones that were featured on the BP Kraft Sprinter Trueno.
Here you can see a picture of the car that inspired the car above:
The BP Kraft Sprinter Trueno AE86 was a car that raced in the Japanese GT300 races. The 4A-GE was swapped out in favor of the Toyota 503e which is the race-spec 3S-GTE engine. The car itself was not successful
I have no clue what the black/blue led bar is, but I fear for the worst here: Kraft Industries Two Thousand inspired?
The car itself is a beauty to see with its widened arches to fit those really wide 9 or 10 inch wide 17 inch SSR TE37 wheels.
Also the headlights are a piece of art: lexan covered HID units with integrated BMW inspired angel-eyes rings. This is a real quality build and apparently money was no object.
Also in this car the stock 4A-GE has been swapped, but here in favor of a 20 valve 4A-GE blacktop.
If you are one of the lovers and not a hater, you can find more photos and information on this car here:
