We all know that Keiichi Tsuchiya loves his kouki Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 drift car, but did you know he owned a couple of other legendary cars before that? For instance this Nissan Skyline 2000GT GC10?
In this Best Motoring video Keiichi Tsuchiya explains what cars he used privately to tear up the touges: a Nissan Skyline 2000GT GC10, a Nissan Sunny 1200 GX5 B110, a Toyota Starlet S KP61 and a Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-V AE86.
Nissan Skyline 2000GT GC10
The first part is covering the Nissan Skyline 2000GT GC10:
Yes it is an original Nissan Skyline 2000GT with surf line rear fenders and a two litre L20. Then the next clip covers the Nissan Sunny 1200 GX5 B110. He already mentions that the Sunny has way less power than the Skyline. After that the focus changes to the Toyota Starlet S KP61, where he drifts it and even manages to outrun a brand new midnight blue Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34! After that his endeavors in the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 GT-V are being show. Being not that under powered as the KP61, he really slides the AE86 around the corners.

A translated version of the Toyota Starlet S KP61 clip:
In this clip he mentions that the Starlet is even more underpowered, so to maintain speed he really needed to do side braking (= drifting).
And the clip of the insane KP61 versus R34 battle:
All four cars are obviously not the originals he owned, but they do give a nice insight in Keiichi Tsuchiya’s roots. Even though his roots used to be commodity cars in the 70s and 80s they are nowadays more or less legendary cars.
