WTF: Initial D dating sim! Moero Downhill Night

Moero Downhill Night 2 was my WTF moment of the week:

Yes, that is right: a downhill racing dating sim! WTF?! ?(‘?`?)?

Now, a dating sim isn’t that shocking, but keep in mind that this is an Hentai dating sim! So, cars, downhill racing, babes and X-rated scenes all together in one game? The developers must have thought why not combine all great things boys like?! And when that turned out to be a success they created this second game! ?´???

Car lineup is a nice one! Cars seen in the intro so far are: a black/red Suzuki Capuchino, a lotus Elise, a yellow Toyota Supra JZA70, a white Toyota MR2 SW20, a panda Trueno, a white Nissan Silvia S14, a Toyota Celica ST162 (?) and last but not least, a silver Nissan Skyline KPGC10! ( ? ??)

The fun part is that the game can be yours for only $24.95!

Hilarious: Star Trek versus tokusatsu!

If you thought tokusatsu was bad, the first Star Trek series was even worse:

It has got it all:
– Slow motion fighting? Check!
– Good guys in spandex and bad guys in rubber suits? Check!
– Fighting in deserted remote areas? Check!
– Lifting heavy boulders and throwing them in a straight line while landing 30 feet higher than the angle was pointing to? Check!
Yes, Captain Kirk surely did learn a lot about tokusatsu from his crewmember Hikaru Sulu…

To give you another feast for your eyes (and something to compare to), watch this:

Now, which one was worse? Star Trek or Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman?
(Actually I did not dare to post this example for obvious reasons… I mean: one of the good guys disguising himself as Hitler? WTF!?)

Next week more tokusatsu?

WTF: Masato Kawabata’s cornering

When I saw this video the first time I thought the video was about Masato Kawabata’s 180SX RPS13 spinning while initiating the drift. But then all of a sudden the WTF!? moment was there!

Amazing cornering abilities! ?(´?`)/
Masato Kawabata ddi this in the fourth round of the D1GP in Okayama where he received the full 100 points from all judges!

WTF: Mitsubishi Pajero Jr Flying Pug

This was really a big WTF for me:
Mitsubishi Pajero Jr Flying Pug - WTF?!
Mitsubishi Pajero Jr Flying Pug – WTF?!

No, it is not a modern London cab! And it is not a Riley Elf retro car based upon the new mini! (the old Elf was based upon the old one). No, it is the Mitsubishi Pajero Flying Pug!

Mitsubishi Pajero Jr Flying Pug – Retro front

Mitsubishi thought a downsized Pajero would create a great mini SUV. So they created the Pajero Jr in 1995. Unfortunately sales were not booming as they expected them to be, so they tried to sell them through some limited editions. The names were as insane as the thought of people willing to buy limited edition mini SUVs: McTwist, Lynx and Flying Pug!
Back in the early nineties the English retro looks were very popular, so Mitsubishi thought the Pajero Jr Flying Pug would sell great when styled after a London cab with big wide fenders and a big Mercedes-like hood ornament! Boy, they were wrong! Sales still declined and the whole Pajero Jr was killed off in 1998.

The rear has’t changed at all, except for the tail lights. They must have thought the retro styling of the front would have been appealing enough?

And the interior doesn’t show any luxury at all: just an ordinary plain ninties plastic interior with leather seats.

This particular Pajero Jr is one of the 149 Pajero Jrs produced in 1998 and thus incredibly rare. It can be yours for only 8000 dollars while an ordinary Jr can be picked up for 100 to 1000 dollars. At least I wouldn’t spend that amount of money on it. ;)

WTF: Nissan Skyline’s mini: Langley

I really had a WTF here: I saw this ad by the same poster as a Carina ad. It is about the Skyline’s Mini, also called the Langley:
Nissan Skyline’s mini ad on Youtube

Further investigation gave me this video:

Wikipedia redirected me upon Nissan Langley to the Nissan Pulsar page and there it was: The Nissan Langley, from 1980, was a more upmarket Pulsar.

Basically what Nissan did was give better looks to the FWD Pulsar, slap some round taillights on it and call it the Nissan Skyline’s mini to attract even more buyers! Sounds to me like the same if Toyota would have sold the 3 door Sprinter Trueno as the mini Celica XX in Japan.
