Remembering Japanese cars from the past
This is probably the most awkward picture I posted so far… It is not only the farting bit but also to have to post such an uncomfortable picture with a Toyota Carina AA63:
I guess this one is just a combination of bad luck and wrong timing…

A proper Family Album Treasure from 1986 for this whole family in their Toyota Carina GTi16 AT160!
The oldest son is giving us a double victory and wife and youngest son are enjoying the sight of daddy taking a picture of his pride! (For you to determine whether that should be the Carina or the family… ;) )
Anyway, also visible in the picture is the wooden (Nardi?) steering wheel, BBS rims and most importantly: the Twin Cam 16 grille badge that indicates this car is powered by a 4A-GE and not to be messed with!

I don’t know exactly what it is, but this Toyota Carina AA63 Coupe is one of my favorite Carinas so far:
Even though this Carina coupe features the single headlights and the original seats have been replaced by a Bride set I still think it looks awesome!
Perhaps it is the dished rims (anyone know what type/manufacturer they are?) or maybe the side skirts? Or maybe both of them combined remind me of the AE86? (and the Carina being the better looker here! ;) )

This Toyota Carina AA63 GT-R was actually a corner case: either post it in Carina Sightings or in WTF?!
At first glance the car lowered significantly, features a set of Work Excel rims, rollcage and bucketseats have been installed and the grille is missing. But what is so special about this Carina?

You can clearly see some foliage growing out of the car where ever the plants can make their way to a more sunny spot, so why not just take the hole in the transmission tunnel as the quickest way out? Continue reading
