WTF: set a Skyline GC110 on fire and laugh about it!

Back in 1984 a lot of cars were (mis)used in Seibu Keisatsu. See a short backstage clip about how they park a four door Yonmeri Skyline GC110 into a pile of (nowadays extinct) burning J-tin and have a big laugh about it:

Fast forward that video 27 years and all of a sudden that ubiquitous GC110 became a rare cult hit!

Random: Nissan Skyline coupe spy photos

They are not new but actually rather 40 years old spy photos of the Skyline KPGC10 coupe:

Back in the late 1969 and early 1970 Nissan was already developing the coupe version of the Nissan Skyline. Presumably these pictures were taken at the Nissan Granddrive test circuit.

You can clearly see it is a KPGC10-version from its rear arches:

Nice to see automotive manufacturers were just as paranoid back then about a new car leaking to the public as nowadays.

Hilarious: Nissan Skyline Trans Am

Now this is something different: a Nissan Skyline DR30 with a huge american influence. Maybe better to referred as the Skyline Trans Am:

You can clearly see the nose is a copy of the 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

The big question remains: what were they thinking:

Lots and lots of scoops, wings and other stuff. It almost feels like a riced out Firebird… But the only thing is that it isn’t a Pontiac…
