Remembering Japanese cars from the past
Just found this amazing LEGO build by ylan (Dylan Denton) where he built a 1971 Nissan Skyline GT-R KPGC10 from scratch:
Just amaze yourself about all the little details in this build: it has the black overfenders, GT-R front lip, recessed hood with the round headlights, fender mirrors and the little black spoiler at the rear.

Even though it states GT-R on the back of this Nissan Skyline it actually is a lower grade GTS-t HCR32 that was wrecked here.
Judging from the triumphant stance it was not considered a great loss by the bystanders. Personally I would be devastated if such a thing would happen near me involving a R35.

Back in 1975 when I was only seven months old and had great difficulty breaking out of the playpen this guy had his picture taken next to his pride an joy:
Apart from the coolness factor of the sweater, Slot-mags and the sea in the background, me posing next to a Hakosuka Skyline KPGC10 would definitely end up in the Family Album!

Meeting videos are always fun to watch, especially if the meeting is a Skyline R30 meeting!
Starting from 0:30 onwards a complete lineup of all Skylines present starts and I love how you can see all the small differences between all the similar cars: some have Hoshino Impul rims, other deep dished ones and another transformed his Skyline into a track monster!

In the early 70s you needed two things to be BIG in Japan: flared jeans and flared Skyline!
As this picture was taken on a sulky day in June 1980 we’ll forgive this guy for not wearing flared jeans. ;)
