Now this is hilarious: during the peak of tokusatsu popularity National (Panasonic) was selling this vacuum cleaner in 1971 with an Ultraman spoof commercial:
The Ultra woman has long vacuum cleaner like arm and is called here Hayabusa. The name is a pun on Ultraman (his real name was Shin Hayata) and literally means “peregrine falcon” which is the fastest falcon in the world. Looking at the commercial I’d say she is definitely the fastest vacuum cleaner in the world!

What? Hilarious posting on Wednesday? Something up? Yes indeed, there is something up!
I received an message from Koken that I should check out something great… The two videos were by 86jnosakuretu48te again and this time outdoes himself, in the first one he does the McDonalds run again (he thought the last one wasn’t shot properly) but this time he finishes off with a cigarette: Continue reading
No hilarious posting today? Well I already posted something radical earlier this week, and this US commercial is somewhat hilarious as well! ;)
I know it sounds a bit weird dissing the AE86, but I had a very good laugh when I watched this US commercial of the new Toyota Corolla GT-S AE86! It is cheesy, it is very US and it even has a (double) Toyota jump in the end! Continue reading
What would Bunta Fujiwara drive in 2008?
A Toyota Ipsum (called Picnic outside Japan):
Funny he didn’t buy a Toyota Estima because the Ipsum is FWD and the Estima RWD (MR).
The Japanese Estima may be a bit less well equiped than the American supercharged version, but it sure does have potential:
Manji drifting on the straight!!! :D
So the big question is: why would Bunta Fujiwara favor the Ipsum above the Estima then? IMO I think it is quite natural of Bunta to do such a thing: Takumi first learns to drive the Trueno AE86 (FR layout) really hard. Then he gets beaten by Bunta in an AWD Impreza, so he has to learn to drive that AWD really hard as well. Logically Bunta would then have to beat Takumi with a FWD, so what better car to totally humiliate Takumi with???
Right: the Toyota Ipsum!
Edit: video doesn’t work anymore, so here is a picture to compensate that:
Toyota Ipsum (picnic) next to Fujiwara Tofu shop

Now this is a real happy meal: this guy eats his Mc Donalds meal while drifting the Ebisu North course! Not only does he eat it on the straights, but he also does it Bunta style and picks up and returns his milkshake into the cupholder! Now that is EPIC!
Now if only he could pick up his order on the drive through this way! :D
Also check out his extensive (and humorous) report on this trick on Youtube.

I had a good laugh when I watched this short video of kimiga aruzide shitsuziga orede where a Lincoln Town Car limo goes downhill sideways head to head with a BNR32 GTR!
Obviously the Town Car wins! :D :D
(or should it be called Lincoln Touge Car then?)
