On Bosozokustyle.com we have several advertisement campaigns running and when we don’t have anything to show we use Google Adsense to fill up the space. Apparently is does not always work out okay:
Advertising gone wrong on Bosozokustyle.com
I wonder what those Bosozoku would actually think when they saw that particular advertisement next to their zokusha posing picture! ;)

You all knew Ken Nomura was able to drift himself to a third place in the D1GP this year, but what you didn’t know was that he has a much wider range of driving skills!
So what else can he do then? Well, parallel drift parking (30 cm space at each side of the car), popping a balloon while driving reverse, sharpen a pencil while driving reverse and last but not least: light a match while driving reverse! :D :D
Too bad he only uses his ER32 for the parallel drift parking… I really would loved to see him do the pencil sharpening with his ER34! ;)
The latest trend in Akihabara: Koike Style!
Koike Style is basically nothing else than using your computer while moving. This can involve walking/cycling/bus rides/whatever. It actually is quite a silly look to see someone walking with a laptop, or standing still pressing the laptop against their lap and typing as fast as they can to keep the laptop from falling! :D
I can see the use for it, but what I don’t get is why most of them use a full size laptop and not something compact as netbook or an iPhone to stay connected! ;)
In 1966 Bollywood shot a movie called Love in Tokyo. The movie was shot partly on site in Tokyo, so be prepared to see a totally different Tokyo than you are used to:
Pole dancing in the sixties?!
In this video you can already see parts of the, back then, newly built Shuto Expressway.
Cars I spotted so far: Prince Skyline S50 taxi, some Nissan Cedrics next to the traffic lights, a Toyota Corona T40 with the old lady and now and then a Prince Gloria S40.
In this part the male character drives, what looks like, a Nissan Fairlady 1500 SP310:
Enough of the cars! This one is really hilarious:
And another one to say goodbye:
If you want to know more about this movie, you can find all the information you need here:

If you thought last weeks Star Trek versus tokusatsu was bad, this is even worse! I watched some more of the The WTF Moments in Tokusatsu and picked the best ones for you, starting with this one:
Loved that one? How about showing some more love…
to your motorcycle??
Already hungry for more? Skip till 0:31 for this one:
And last but not least, this one has a great surprise at 0:56…
Let’s all fight in front of a Toyota Soarer Z10! :D
And the great thing is they keep on posting more and more of that stuff here!
If you thought tokusatsu was bad, the first Star Trek series was even worse:
It has got it all:
– Slow motion fighting? Check!
– Good guys in spandex and bad guys in rubber suits? Check!
– Fighting in deserted remote areas? Check!
– Lifting heavy boulders and throwing them in a straight line while landing 30 feet higher than the angle was pointing to? Check!
Yes, Captain Kirk surely did learn a lot about tokusatsu from his crewmember Hikaru Sulu…
To give you another feast for your eyes (and something to compare to), watch this:
Now, which one was worse? Star Trek or Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman?
(Actually I did not dare to post this example for obvious reasons… I mean: one of the good guys disguising himself as Hitler? WTF!?)
Next week more tokusatsu?
