Aoshima Seibu Keistatsu Machine RS-1 1/43 diecast

One of my favorite postings at Japanese Nostalgic Car blog is the Friday Video. Most of the time they feature the old Japanese police cop series, from which Seibu Keistatsu the most frequently returning series is.

I found pictures of this perfect Aoshima 1/43 diecast of the Seibu Keistatsu Machine RS-1 (????RS1??) on a Japanese blog:

All (fog)lights in the front valance are correct!

And I love the tiny details: a rear wiper on the rear window!

This model is so detailed, even the stickers on the side have very very tiny decal saying 4 valve DOHC next to the bigger RS-Turbo letters! And even the window mouldings are silver! ??????

This picture shows the additional features of the car, including the machineguns mounted on the roof!

And of course the inside of the car is just as detailed as the outside! The big computer console is just like in the series! ?(´??)?

Compare the pictures above to this video footage of the RS-1, RS-2 and RS-3:

It may not be as detailed as the perfect AE86 by AutoArt, but think of it this way: the AutoArt AE86 is 1/18 and this is a 1/43 diecast! So this diecast is more than twice as small and the total length is about 10 centimeters! Then think of all those tiny little details on it! Now that is small!

According to the blog this new detailed diecast is available since April 2009! Now all I need is someone outside Japan selling this diecast! ?(????)

Amazing: customized AE86 diecast model

At first I could not believe these two diecasts are customized and painted by hand:
Initial D and Drift Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86

But they actually are: Gee is doing a lot of diecast customization and he does it all by himself!

See the details yourself:
Use tape/gum to mask the panda scheme

First he takes them apart. He uses a mix of tape and gum to mask the panda scheme first before painting the body.

Almost perfect panda scheme!
Almost perfect panda scheme!

Here you can see the rear it has got an almost perfect panda scheme: only the black line above the taillights should be much much thinner.

After painting he modifies the wheels and put everything back together. In this case he painted them black but some others received wheels from other diecasts.

You can see the end result well on this picture of both cars:
The finished product: perfect Initial D AE86

Both AE86s look stunning! Almost hard to believe they are only 1/64 scale!

And doesn’t this look familiar?

It is only missing the oil spots on the windscreen and fenders. :D

If you want to see much more amazing diecast customizations you can find his blog here:

If you want to do your own diecast customization you may take the 1/64 Mattel diecast of the Toyota AE86 as base.

Shakotan Boogie diecast cars

When I spotted this amazing diecast collection of all Shakotan Boogie cars my first thought was that I had to buy it… Not for myself but for my son Ollie of course!

My second thought was that he was waaaay too young to play with diecasts so I guess I either have to wait for him to grow up or just get them now and play with them myself. ;)

Hopefully he will pick up something from them when he is older. :D

Edit: somehow this post got stuck and was not publicized. Fixed that now, but now another post is already there… :(
