I know I have been slacking again on the blog lately… My job was killing me and last Tuesday I gave a presentation at a MySQL oriented conference in London so hardly any time left for anything else. So I promise to make it up to you with this beautiful photo of the N-Style Toyota Carina AA63 taken by Nori Yaro:
Alexi Smith (aka Nori Yaro) visited the N-Style garage and took a couple of beautiful photographs of their car lineup, including three of the N-Style Toyota Carina AA63.
So head over to Nori Yaro’s visit to N-Style to see all the other photos!

After being silent on the subject of my Carina for a while I’ve finally made some more progress: I’m assembling the Carina AA63 double headlights (after stripping and repairing them first):
This is only the right side assembly and unfortunately the left side has to wait a bit. And yes I know: it is definitely not the most beautiful glassfibre repair, but it will be hidden behind the grille anyway.
Why? Well it is waiting for the respray of some new old stock headlight surroundings: Continue reading
I have no idea what has gotten into Dino Dalle Carbonare but lately he seems to be very much into the Toyota Carina AA63! He proved this by posting the N-Style Carina earlier this week on Speedhunters:
The N-Style Carina certainly has seen an overhaul since the last time I posted about it: two tone paintscheme, wilder camber and deeper dish!
I certainly like the new two tone paint scheme! Continue reading
At Speedhunters Dino Dalle Carbonare made three jaw dropping posts about the RC scene in Japan and I was quite surprised a remote controlled Toyota Carina AA63 was featured in two of those posts!
First of all the last photo of the second post was this drifting Carina. What a way to end the post! :)
Then the third post featured a side shot from the Carina: Continue reading
I don’t know exactly what it is, but this Toyota Carina AA63 Coupe is one of my favorite Carinas so far:
Even though this Carina coupe features the single headlights and the original seats have been replaced by a Bride set I still think it looks awesome!
Perhaps it is the dished rims (anyone know what type/manufacturer they are?) or maybe the side skirts? Or maybe both of them combined remind me of the AE86? (and the Carina being the better looker here! ;) )
Found at Minkara
Sorry to share it this late, but I only just spotted the Flipfront hood Carina AA63 for sale and the auction ends in the next 18 hours! So be quick!
Even though it now features deep dished RS Watanabe rims instead of the even more rare Work Excel rims it is the same. Also the cancellation of the rear door handles makes it clear they are the same!
This photo really gives a good view on how the flipfront hood has been mounted: Continue reading
