Dutch panda red AE86 with BMW 5-series complex – AE86 Wall of Shame

We all know the BMW E34 is the best Bavaria ever offered, so I think the owner of this Dutch AE86 thought it was a good thing to complement the AE86 Haslbeck trim with some E34 goodness!

Welcome to another AE86 Wall of Shame and this week, we feature a Dutch AE86 with a BMW 5-series complex! I found this car for sale in The Netherlands about six years ago and saved these images for later use.

German two-door Corolla GT Twin Cam 16 AE86

As a basis, a German two-door Corolla GT AE86 was used. We know this is the case because only in Germany the combination of a two-door car and Haslbeck trim was sold. We can still see the Haslbeck trim present in the form of the front spoiler, side skirts and boot-lid spoiler.

Dutch AE86 with FWD complex – AE86 Wall of Shame

It has been a while since I posted in the AE86 Wall of Shame. It’s not that I ran out of pictures, but rather more other interests took priority. Today I have another Dutch beauty for you: a white Corolla GT Twin Cam 16 AE86 including period-correct 1980s stickers and a Corolla FX AE82 front end! That surely looks goofy!

I really wonder why this European Corolla AE86 with AE82 front end doesn't sell...
I really wonder why this European Corolla AE86 with AE82 front end doesn’t sell…

I presume the front has been swapped for the AE82 front end because of a minor front-end collision. As the left-hand-drive headlights are difficult to obtain, it would have been a very expensive accident. The much cheaper and more obtainable AE82 front end has been crafted onto the AE86.

The SkyLevin: an AE86 with the face of a Skyline HCR32 – AE86 Wall of Shame

Just like last time Levin Delta Integrale, we have another face-swapped example: an AE86 with the face of a Skyline HCR32! Even though the tail lights seem to originate from a Trueno AE86, I’ll just call it the SkyLevin. It may look a bit weird as the R32 Skyline is almost a decade ahead in design, but does it look good? That’s up to you to decide!

Autoworks Nipponshi AWN 800: AE86 with Skyline HCR32 front end

Autoworks Nipponshi

Let’s start with the builder of this insane car: Autoworks Nipponshi. They called their work the AWN 800. I can understand the AWN abbreviation, but I have no idea what the 800 means. I wasn’t able to find out much about this garage. I’ve tried searching on both Romanized and Katakana, but nothing turned up except for this Motor Fan article. My guess is this was done by a small garage in the Nipponshi area without a website or any presence on the web. I’ve also tried to go through all the garages in the Nipponshi area but to no avail.

Rust AE86 + Skyline Frontcut = SkyLevin?

Double rally monster Levin Delta Integrale – AE86 Wall of Shame

Someone sent me a picture of this Lancia Delta Integrale with a Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 front end crafted on it. I don’t remember who sent it and I’ve searched to no avail through my WhatsApp history. So if you are the person who sent it to me: very much appreciated and you deserve all the credit!

The Delta Integrale is about the same red as the panda-red AE86 colour scheme. I love the previous owner retained the panda-paint scheme on the front bumper. It would have been even more radical if the whole Delta Integrale had received some panda-paint as well. However, the Delta Integrale doesn’t feature the necessary lines to support that.

The photo is a typical Japanese car auction photo, so my guess is that it went through auctions some time ago. I’m not a big enough expert to distinguish the 8V from the 16V Integrale. All that I know is that it looks mad enough! So, what do you think? Blasmephy or the perfect marriage?

The Mazda 323F that wants to be a Fujiwara Tofu-ten Eunos Astina – AE86 Wall of Shame

What? Wait! The Eunos 100, Mazda Familia Astina and Mazda 323F aren’t an AE86! So why is this entry part of the AE86 Wall of Shame? Well, hear me out! I found this 323F for sale on the German classifieds site Kleinanzeichen with the text “JDM, no AE86”. Yet if you squint your eyes, you will recognize it as the Fujiwara Tofu-ten. But does it deserve an entry in the AE86 Wall of Shame then?

323F or Familia Astina or Eunos 100?

The Mazda Familia Astina is a Japanese Domestic Market car that was also sold as the Eunos 100. Outside of Japan, the Mazda Familia was sold as the Mazda 323. Naturally, the Familia Astina was sold as the 323F to make it stand out and yet still hold ties to the 323 family name. Yes, that’s confusing yet clear at the same time!

Mark II my words – AE86 Wall of Shame

It has been a while since I posted an AE86 in the AE86 Wall of Shame. It’s not that I have a shortage of content, in the contrary: I have lots of AE86 photos that may raise your eyebrows. However, I have rather more other interesting things to blog and share. Luckily, earlier this week, a friend of mine sent me this AE86 with a Mark II JZX110 front crafted on it:

Toyota Mark II JZX110 or AE86?

I hope they swapped over the 1JZ engine as well!

You may think that doesn’t look too bad, but wait until you see the rear end:
