The Sprinter Trueno GT Apex AE92 only had one drawback: progress!
With the E90 platform of the Corolla and Sprinter Toyota finally moved to FWD only. Even the sporty Trueno and Levin coupes were now front wheel drive, or should I say wrong wheel drive? :P
I must say the AE92 lines are really a refinement of the ones we had seen on the AE86 and the GT engine options were excellent: you could choose from the small-port 4A-GE or the super charged 4A-GZE, so if only Toyota stuck to RWD… Continue reading
I just happened to stumble accross this 1980 or 1981 Nissan Skyline advertisement:
It includes Paul Newman who was involved heavily with the New Skyline advertisements by Nissan. What puzzles me is why they put this fake Super Silhouette R30 in the picture while the Hasemi Skyline KDR30 was actually more impressive than this rendering…
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not dissing Leonardo di Caprio here but it just seemed to be very very funny that Leonardo is actually doing a commercial for a dull car as the Suzuki Wagon R Wide in fluent Japanese:
BTW:The Suzuki Wagon R Wide is the same as the Wagon R+ in export markets. ;)
