WTF: Thoroughbred Skyline 2000GT Turbo

When I think of a high performance Skyline R30 I alway picture either the louvre grille DR30 or the tekkamen (Iron Mask) DR30, but not this thoroughbred 2000GT Turbo:

Thoroughbred in Skyline terms means it is at least having a L20 engine under its hood:

And normally a thoroughbred L20ET should have a bit more oomph than its predecessor but in this case Nissan kept the entire L20ET the same as in the C211. Perhaps they thought it meant that the shell was thoroughbred and its engine were the strong genes remaining from its predecessor?

WTF: Mitsubishi Debonair Bridal design

I like the timeless design of the Mitsubishi Debonair: it is a compact version of a classy and luxurious American car. But this Bridal design special is really something extraordinary!

Not only was it suitable as a luxury car, with its fifth door the bride did not have the need to bow before entering the car. But what use is a fifth door when the wedding car has been retired?

To haul mopeds and other stuff of course!

Yes, no need to worry. Just open the fifth door and you will have enough room to put that moped inside the Debonair!

WTF: set a Skyline GC110 on fire and laugh about it!

Back in 1984 a lot of cars were (mis)used in Seibu Keisatsu. See a short backstage clip about how they park a four door Yonmeri Skyline GC110 into a pile of (nowadays extinct) burning J-tin and have a big laugh about it:

Fast forward that video 27 years and all of a sudden that ubiquitous GC110 became a rare cult hit!

WTF: Shirtless Cherry X-1 coupe

Now this was a big WTF?!: two shirtless men standing next to a Nissan Cherry X-1 coupe with a fiery background? What does it mean?
Shirtless Nissan Cherry X-1
Shirtless Nissan Cherry X-1

Not really sure what the people from Nissan were targeting here… We obviously have seen the Ken&Mary targeting for the fourth generation Skyline and the Cherry X-1 was launched at the same time. Are the two shirtless men supposed to indicate the Cherry X-1 coupe is one tough cookie, is it supposed to attract future female buyers or should we interpret it differently?
