Only in Japan you can find a rusty Lamborghini Silhouette P300 rotting away:
It is 1 out of 12 RHD built cars and the total production run was 52 cars!
Behind it you can also spot an Alfa Romeo Zagato RZ. Madness!

What are the chances of spotting a Toyota Corolla AE86 twice in one single day?
While enroute on the highway to Hasselgren Racing in Berkley I got passed by this Toyota Corolla AE86. The car is presumably a SR5 model and it had steel wheels mounted with the old Toyota T style center caps.
The car was in just as bad shape as the AE86 I posted yesterday that I spotted in the Walmart parkinglot after visiting Hasselgren. As this SR5 actually was still entirely original it had a more ghetto like look. It is also funny to see how unattractive a car can get after almost 30 years left in original factory trim.
As I said earlier today (I’m in a different timezone): if I encounter more nice cars I’ll definitely post them. So how about a well used Toyota Corolla AE86 GT-S in the Milpitas Wallmart parkinglot?
While I was taking this photo the owner returned (hence this photo turned out not entirely sharp) and I had a short chat with him. He told me he is on the verge of buying a Scion FR-S as he is tired of continuously repairing an old and tired car. He offered me the car for sale but I friendly declined the offer. It will simply not fit in my suitcase and I guess my wife will kill me if I returned home and explained I just paid a fortune to ship a car to Europe. ;)
From every angle you can see that the sunny weather in California isn’t doing any good to the car: Continue reading
I’m currently in not so sunny California for a conference and just spotted this Fast and Furious inspired Toyota MR2 SW20 near a Wallmart:
Of course I had to stop and take pictures! ;)
From the rear it doesn’t look that radical but the front end has been modified extensively: Continue reading
Yesterday I received some goodies from the US for my Toyota Carina TA60:
A set of camberplates and a full set of Prothane AE86 poly bushes.
I’ll trial fit the poly bushes to see which ones match and which ones don’t. I’ll probably end up with half the set used and some that don’t fit at all but at least this way I know which ones to hunt for somewhere else.
The camber plates are Toyota Corolla KE70/TE71 items: Continue reading
At Speedhunters Dino Dalle Carbonare made three jaw dropping posts about the RC scene in Japan and I was quite surprised a remote controlled Toyota Carina AA63 was featured in two of those posts!
First of all the last photo of the second post was this drifting Carina. What a way to end the post! :)
Then the third post featured a side shot from the Carina: Continue reading
