Down on the Street: a JDM Eunos Roadster!

During my weekly Saturday shopping I spotted a Eunos Roadster parked in a busy shopping street. Naturally I stopped and checked it out!
Down on the Street: Eunos Roadster
The Eunos Roadster is a rarity on the European continental soil as it is right hand drive and we had more than enough of the “normal” Mazda MX5 supply.

I decided try something different and make a down on the street video of the Eunos Roadster this time: Continue reading

How to: revive a set of vintage Pioneer TS-32 speakers (part one)

I have been absent for a while now and I had many things to blame for that where one of them is that I actually was creating this video on how to revive a set of vintage Pioneer TS-32 speakers.
Reviving a set of vintage Pioneer TS-32
Since I no longer have access to Adobe Premiere I had to pick a new non-linear editor and relearn the whole thing. I tried several of them and picked Lightworks which does the job but works on your nerves every now and then as sometimes it is beyond grasp why it doesn’t work. My steep learning curve took me about 15 to 20 hours of editing for this small sub 8 minute clip but I think I finally got it acceptable.

Anyway, this video is the first part about reviving a set of vintage speakers that I bought for only 10 euros: Continue reading

Down on the Street: HellaHi Civic EG in the rain

Today was a rainy day and it kind of ruined my schedule this morning to take a small video clip of some car I’d like to feature in Down on the Street with a video. Nevertheless in the afternoon I spotted this HellaHi Civic EG when I wanted to pick up my son:
HellaHi Honda Civic EG
Of course I left the GoPro at home and I have no real dashcam. So the phonecam had to do all the work. It was a shame I could not take more pictures as the whole line of cars started to move and after the railway crossing I had to take a left turn. Too many things to do at the same time and otherwise it would have been dangerous.

I followed the EG for two or three streets as it was going in the same direction, but there were no other opportunities to take photos. This Honda Civic EG was done nicely with white rims with stretched tires that were nicely tucked underneath the fenders. Stickers were a set of HellaHi/Fatlace/Illest and the car wasn’t really HellaFlush at all, so therefore I called it the HellaHi Civic EG. ;)

Breaking the Celica AA63: the big move

This happened today:
Moving the Celica AA63
I moved the Toyota Celica AA63 to another place that is only 12 minutes away from my home. Much saner than the 1 hour 20 minutes it was now. ;)

I was surprised the 4AGE fired up immediately after not being used for almost a year. Usually when I start the Carina after a month not using it takes a few starts, but then again the Celica AA63 has a fuelpump and injectors while the Carina has a mechanical pump and is carbed. Continue reading

Friday Video: Keiichi Tsuchiyas old drift cars

We all know that Keiichi Tsuchiya loves his kouki Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 drift car, but did you know he owned a couple of other legendary cars before that? For instance this Nissan Skyline 2000GT GC10?
